In 2021 I received a prophetic word from a woman in my church. She said I was a scribe in the kingdom. I had to look up the word because I had no idea what that meant. I learned that scribes are record keepers, they copied important documents before printing and they were writers.

I have kept a journal on and off since I was a teenager. My love for nice pens and beautiful journals runs deep. I kept that word near my heart for the “one day” that it will make sense. In 2023 I had expressed that I wanted to start a blog, and I was invited to a writing workshop by a friend. I got there and I felt out of place, I was amongst women who had already written books, podcasts, and devotionals. There were some heavy hitters in the kingdom at this workshop. Here I was a housewife with a prophetic word and an idea. As the speaker began the workshop he said “ the Lord is calling His scribes to rise up” well something to that extent. When he said that it hit me like a ton of bricks , that same word “scribe” was spoken yet again. I knew then that this was more than an idea but part of His plan. I did not jump on it right away.

Starting a blog is intimidating. However, I would begin the steps that year but I would never act on it, because I was afraid. Afraid to fail, afraid of the internet and all the platforms mumble jumble.
